So many duplicates, so little time. This app gave me my life back!

Totally worth it! You won’t be disappointed.

This program must have some kind of memory hole - it very quickly eats up my application memory on folders of just a few dozen gig. This is on a new macbook pro with 16gig of ram. others have pointed out the usability issues - stops the scan if you try to check out how it’s doing, etc. I also caught it saying two files were dupes when they were exactly the same size - but different names and completely different content: which means it mis-labels some files as dupes which are not dupes. Dangerous!

It found 14,034 duplicates. I went through about 125 sets of the 24,000 and everything was a duplicate that they said was a duplicate so I just let it delete all that it said was duplicates and i freed up 27.26 gigs

So I downlaoded this today just thinking maybe I could free up some space on my computer and get rid of all of the copies of files hiding on my computer. Long story short I did it on my documents, downloads, and music folders until I realized that it was not just deleting the duplicates. I am a music producer and an audio engineer and it totally ruined like 5 projects I am working on! I have to redo everything! What is even worse is that all the files it put in the trash, I couldnt “put back”. So DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS! APPLE NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS FROM THE APP STORE!

I really needed this. It has recovered over 3GB of duplicate photos/videos. It is extremely easy to use; you can preview if you want to, then check if you want to delete - or if you change your mind before you hit the clear just uncheck the file. Preview was critical to me for famlly photos, but you have other options for selecting as well. Super fast in scanning and deleting.

No ads, no in-app purchases, extremely simple and easy to use. If I were to change something about this application, I wouldn’t, because it is perfect and needs no changing.

Simple easy to use interface, drag a folder onto the app and it starts scanning for duplicates. Does it quite quickly and once done you are able to view all the duplicates and preview them as well just to be sure. Once you delete the duplicates it trashes them quickly. May I humbly suggest a feature to save logs of your scan if possible and perhaps give it the ability to go back to save scan sessions. My first scan session picked up more than 17GB but I mistakenlyexited without deleting and I had to start from scratch, not a train smash though. Thanks guys awesome program :)

Seamlessly find the duplicate files and removes them. Super quick and super efficient

Definitely worth the price. I found it extremely useful and effective for removing dupes in my system. Especially for photos. Very good!

Excellent app and worth the price!

I had it scan my whole hard drive and it found over 2gb of duplicates, I had no idea I had so man duplicate files! I’ve been in need of this application because I’ve noticed my HDD dropping from 19gb free space to 3gb free space so I’ve been desperate. Great app for anyone.

I had severely neglected my file maintenance. It had been years since I had deleted anything. I had bought new laptops and just copied everything to the new one. I ended up with duplicate file folders with duplicate information, old programs that won’t even run anymore, etc. I had tried to just clean it up manually but I was getting nowhere fast until I found this program. Wow, I have cleared 19GB in two days!

the app repeatedly crashed on startup. no help from apple or developer. rebuts? LOL - dontwaste your time

Purchased for use on my MacBook Pro, 10.7.5 OS, 2.8 Ghz processor. It wont even open. Keep getting an error message: "Duplicate File Cleaner quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." Total waste of money.

I bought this program and it works very well. However when I scan an external or network drive (WD MyCloud), WD My Passport) it won’t delete any of the duplicate files. It will find all of the duplicate files but when you select them all, then select to delete them it won’t delete the files and says 0Kb cleaned. If I could figure out how to solve this issue I would have rated this 5 stars. Seeing that most of my media is on an external hard drive I can’t support a great rating for this.
