Doesn’t seem to work

I’ve asked it to scan a folder of MP3 files for duplicates, but it seems the only thing it’s checking is the file size.

Even though I have looked at many of the files it says are “duplicates”, they are completely different songs even though the file size is the same.

They say they are using SHA-1 checksums to determine duplicates, but the files they say are duplicates have completely different checksums (I double-checked to see if there was a slight chance they were the same).

Unless someone can explain this inconsistency to me, I would think that this utility only looks at file size to determine duplicates.
